It integrates with multiple Google products (such as Gmail and Google Calendar) to assist with various tasks, enhancing efficiency and productivity.

An AI assistant developed by Microsoft, integrated into Microsoft 365 applications (such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc., though only the paid version enables in-app usage). It helps users quickly search and synthesize information, boosting efficiency in writing, data analysis, and presentation creation.

1.EBSCO Series Databases(EBSCO EDS Discovery Service and EBSCOhost Research Platform)

EBSCO's AI Insights is a generative AI feature that helps users summarize 3 to 5 key points from articles, enabling quick assessment of an article's subject matter and relevance. 

This feature is available within EBSCO EDS Discovery Service and EBSCOhost Research Platforms (e.g., CINAHL, Medline Complete). Click the “Generate AI Insights” button to obtain supplementary information including article summaries and subject headings.

2. Endnote 2025

EndNote 2025.1 introduces generative AI tools, including:

  • Review Key Takeaways: Automatically generates core points for individual PDF documents.
  • Chat with a document: Engage in a “conversation” with full-text documents by posing questions in simple, natural language to receive relevant answers from AI.
  • Translate a PDF document: Translate the entire content of a PDF document to reduce language barriers in understanding research literature.
  • Summarize selected text: Quickly summarize the key points covered in selected text passages within a document.
  • Translate selected text: Translate specific text passages to reduce language barriers in understanding research literature.

3. Reaxys Chemistry Database

Reaxys was upgraded to Reaxys Academic Edition (RAE) in 2025:

(1) “Retrosynthetic AI Technology”—users can sketch novel molecules, with the system predicting total synthetic routes within 10 minutes while providing reagents, yields, and reaction details from similar reactions in the literature. 

(2) Visual Bioactivity Analysis—Users can explore compound libraries for biomedical applications, identify potential drug targets, and perform heatmap visualization to extract valuable activity data from literature and patents.

(3) New Reaxys AI Search (Beta) functionality enables natural language exploration of complex chemical literature.

4. JSTOR Humanities Database(AI features require personal account registration)

JSTOR offers AI-powered interactive research tools:  

(1) Summarizes key points of articles to help users quickly assess content relevance.  

(2) Recommends related content and thematically similar research within the JSTOR platform, while providing Q&A assistance for specific items to help researchers uncover data connections and conduct analysis.

5. ProQuest Ebook Central

Some e-books in ProQuest Ebook Central feature the “Research Assistant” function, which uses AI to generate summaries of key points, extract important concepts, identify research topics, and recommend relevant resources to enhance research efficiency.

6. InCites

After logging into InCites, select the Research Horizon Navigator at the top. This tool analyzes core literature from the Web of Science Core Collection over the past five years (including journal articles, reviews, and conference papers) using citation and co-citation analysis methods. It helps track emerging research trends, identify relevant new topics, and visually map connections across disciplines, institutions, countries, and experts.
