Borrowing
1. KMU and KMU Hospital faculty, staff and students can use university ID card or library borrower card to borrow books from the library.
2. The patron must apply for a library borrower card in person.
3. Reference materials, theses, periodicals, newspapers and AV materials are limited for use in the library.
4. If the patron's card is lost or stolen, or the patron's name or address is changed, notify the library immediately.
5. If you can not find the materials that you need in our library, please submit a searching request or contact extension 2133*83.

Renew
1. You may renew the books once unless someone else has placed a hold on it.
2. You may renew the books at the library in person, by phone, or through the library catalog.
3. You can renew your books 7 days prior to the due date.
Reserves
You can reserve the checked out materials through the library catalog, and you will be notified by e-mail when the item is available to be picked up. If an item you have checked out is recalled, you must return it by the due date. When it is returned, the item will be put on hold. If more than one person has recalled it, these will be handled in the order the reserves were placed.
Overdue
Your borrowing privileges will be suspended when items are overdue.
The overdue penalty is NT$2 per book and per day.
Lost
Borrower should buy the same version or the latest version of the lost or damaged items within two months, or in accordance with the following provisions of the compensative liability:
- Journal : Five times the price.
- Book: Twice the price.
- Serial books: Serial books' price.
- Non-book: Three times the price.
- Unsure price: Reference to the recent five years related subject book's price.

I、Scan your Library card (Student card or Staff card)
Scan your card barcode under the scanline.
II、Enter your password
Password : Your Cellphone Number
★Contact the Circulation Desk if you can't log in successfully.
III、Scan the book barcode
- Put the side with barcode up.
- Put the book in the V-shaped area.
Scan the book barcode under the scanline. - Check whether the book data is showed on the screen.
IV、Finish
After borrowing books, you can choose whether to print the receipt.
★Please check there's no your personal info on the screen before leaving.

After returning books, you can choose whether to print the receipt.

★Drop the book into the box below after you finish the return procedure.
Please notice:
- Multimedia collections and accompanying materials should be borrowed/returned at the Circulation Desk.
- Contact Circulation Desk if there's any error.
Book Drop
1.The book drop is used during library closing hours only.
2.The personal loan record of the returning books will be dated on the opening day before they are collected from the book drop. Borrowers are responsible for overdue books.
3.To make sure the books are returned successfully, borrowers should check on their own.
4.Multimedia collections, accompanying materials, oversize books or the books borrowed by applying “temporary checkout” should be returned at circulation desk in person.
